Welcome to hound about town pet care

Hello! My name is Kristen Book and I am a devoted animal lover, pet owner, dog rescue volunteer, and proud owner of Hound About Town Pet Care!

    Gizmo

    Chief of Security

Gizmo was born in Texas and then sent to a rescue in Michigan at 2 months old, where he was quickly adopted by our family in 2020. His favorite activities include barking at nothing, zooming around the yard at 1000 miles per hour, being a best friend to all our foster dogs and foster puppies, being very dramatic about absolutely everything, loving everyone he meets as though they personally hung the moon in the sky, and being obsessed with my husband.

    Nola

Director of Snack Procurement & Logo Inspiration

Nola spent the first 4 years of her life in a puppy mill in Nebraska, before being relinquished to rescue and coming to us as a foster in 2023, where she very quickly became our first “foster-fail”. Nola’s favorite activities include loving every dog she meets, snoring so loudly that the floor shakes, hollering at me when she thinks that it’s time to be fed, car rides, going on adventures, getting treats from the staff at Lowe’s, and being obsessed with me.
